How it works
From spoken sentence to a record you can check
ReelMeeting does two things at once, and keeps them visibly apart. It maintains a record of what the meeting is actually settling, and — in its own section, under a harder standard — it raises critique. This page is the long version.
The pipeline

Capture
ReelMeeting captures your microphone and your system audio together, so both sides of a call are transcribed. Nothing is captured until you press Start.

Transcribe
Audio streams to a live transcript with speaker channels, arriving on screen in under half a second.

Extract the record
A pass over the running transcript pulls out what is being settled — decisions, commitments, open questions — and matches each one to prior meetings. Every card quotes the sentence it came from and carries a timestamp.

Weigh the critique
A separate pass checks new statements against everything said so far and against previous meetings. A finding may only reach the screen carrying a verbatim span from the conversation.

Close the meeting
When you stop, raw audio is discarded. The record and findings persist to your encrypted local history, and a markdown summary is emailed to you.
The record is extractive
This is why it can stay on screen for a whole meeting without costing you anything in trust: it never generates a claim. Every card repeats something that was said, attributes it, and timestamps it. If you disagree with a card, the quote is right there to check it against.

Critique has to earn its place
Judgement is held to a different standard than description. A finding cannot appear without a verbatim span from the conversation — no evidence, no finding, however plausible the inference. At most three live cards at a time, ranked by severity, in a section visually separate from the record.

“Churn is flat” — half an hour after churn was up 2.1 points.
- Contradicts a past meeting
This week’s plan quietly reverses what was decided three weeks ago.
- Gap
The question that was asked, deflected, and never came back.
- All talk, no plan
Twenty minutes of agreement with no owner, no date, no next step.
- Unsupported claim
A number that decides the roadmap, sourced from nowhere.
- Likely wrong
A stated fact that does not survive contact with the record.
- Nuance
True as far as it goes, and what it leaves out changes the decision.
- Oversight
The dependency nobody in the room has mentioned yet.
- Out of scope
A tangent quietly eating the half hour you booked for something else.
What carries between meetings
Decisions, commitments, claims and risks persist as a durable record. That is what lets ReelMeeting hand you a brief before a meeting starts, track whether a commitment was kept, and notice when this week quietly reverses something settled three weeks ago.
